Overcoming my logical flaw

Over the entire time I’ve been online, I have attempted to edit video here and there, but not with much luck. I’m not sure, whats wrong but I cant seem to understand in my head even though I have the programs and the video material at hand inorder to understand the concept of editing it.

I do know how to edit and manipulate audio and for a while I did do a fair bit of audio recording and editing before I got bored of it.

Lately my mate Joff has given me motivation hes a video producer and editor for pretty much alot of the headlining bands we have here in NZ, you name them, he knows them. Recently he did the AV production for Salmonella Dub who had a concert here a few weeks back – watching him edit the video he recorded when he started recording it was awesome. Ofcourse hes an Apple fanatic & cringed at the idea of me having an iMac in my living room with Vista.

Currently I have Sony Vegas Pro 8 thanks to btjunkie – I did use it a while ago to create a music video of some fragfests me and a couple of friends did at a previous job I had. Some of the video was quite awesome and our numerous fragfests later evolved into tag team matches with another friend in Counter Strike: Source. (I might upload that video to YouTube sometime.)
